QUICK QUESTIONS
Favourite Pastime
Finishing my news shift on a summer night and taking a long walk along the sea front to Whitley Bay and back. It's so great living by the coast. The beach changes daily and there's always something to see.
Favourite Meal
It has to be the Seafood Platter at the Crown Hotel in Portpatrick on the Irish Channel coast of Galloway. We went on Honeymoon there and get back there whenever we can. The food is to die for. We go back so often, we're on first name terms with the bar staff!
Favourite Holiday destination
If it can't be the North East then it has to be Scotland. The Solway and Irish sea coast of Galloway. Beautiful and peaceful with some real hidden treasures.
Favourite Childhood memory
Long hot summers playing by the River Pont outside my home.
Favourite Film
Get Carter.
Favourite Band/artist
A tough one that. My musical taste is questionable but eclectic. Everything from certain Cliff songs to AC/DC
Favourite Song
Tunnel of Love by Dire Straits. It was written before I was a teenager but it sums up parts of my teenage years living by the coast.
Favourite Album
Dire Straits' first Album. Although not the first record I bought, it was the first album that really got me into a band. Must have been 1985 when I bought that tape at Woolies in the 'Bay.
Favourite Decade
As a kid of the 80's I'd have to go for the decade of big hair and Rubic Cubes. Duran Duran, Kajagoogo, Fun Boy Three, Yazoo...keep 'em coming
