A spectacular musical extravaganza is taking place, to raise money for The Toma Fund. The charity gives financial assistance to families, from the North East and Cumbria, who have a child with cancer.

The show will take place at The Sage Gateshead in Northeastern England (Newcastle airport) on April 11th 2012. Various Eurovision stars already confirmed: Lys Assia (winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 1956), Brotherhood of Man (winners of the Eurovision Song Contest 1976), Anne Marie David (winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 1973), Black Lace (UK entry 1979), Bobbysocks (winners of the Eurovision Song Contest 1985),Scott Fitzgerald (UK entry 1988), Nicki French (UK entry 2000) Daz Sampson (UK entry in Eurovision 2006), Josh Dubovie (UK entry in Eurovision 2010) Eldar and Nikki,(winners 2011 from Azerbaijan), and many more to confirm. There will be around twenty performers in all. But the evening wouldn't be the same without a little bit of ABBA, Swede Dreamz are very kindly rounding the evening of, singing with the performers, a rendition of Waterloo.
A fantastic show not to be missed, but most of all with raise thousands for children with cancer.
Tickets available from from www.thesagegateshead.org 0191 443 4661.
This is an independent fundraising event organised by the Toma Fund, and is not associated in any way by the EBU or ESC.

Slippery Souls is an urban fantasy… by the seaside.
And if you don’t know what on earth that means, well, it’s a book containing a whole host of colourful characters - including a vampire with OCD and a penchant for dinner gloves, a handful of chain-smoking werewolves, an agoraphobic witch who lives in a lighthouse, a talking dog and a fairly ordinary twenty-something-year-old called Libby Hood.
