The Plane to Spain – Competition Terms and Conditions
• The Plane to Spain is a competition on Real Radio North East running for several weeks in the The Real Breakfast Show show between 7.55am and 9am each weekday commencing Monday 22nd June 2009.
• Listeners are invited to call in when they hear a holiday themed question to 0845 002 1100
• Callers will be taken at random and called back before being put to air.
• The caller is then given the opportunity to answer the question.
• In the event the callers answer is correct that caller will get to play the game “The Plane to Spain”
• Each day six prizes will be announced on air
• Prizes may change from day to day but will always include the grand prize of a weeks holiday to Spain.
• The grand prize will include flights and accommodation but not spending money and will be for a minimum of two people and be for one week.
• In the event that the holiday is unsuitable for the winner a cash alternative will be offered.
• The game The Plane to Spain is a process of elimination beginning with 5 envelopes.
• Picture icons of each prize will be put in envelopes and shuffled live on air.
• The caller will say STOP to stop the shuffling and from then the 5 envelopes will be labeled one through six from top to bottom.
• The caller must then eliminate envelopes one by one.
• The final envelope that remains after this process is their prize.
• If Plane icon is in the final envelope the callers wins the holiday to Spain as detailed above.
• If any other icon is in the final envelope the caller wins the corresponding prize
• During the elimination process presenters may offer a cash alternative.
• In the event that the cash alternative is accepted, the game ends and the winner will receive that cash alternative by way of a cheque within 28 days of the end of the promotion.
• Callers are allowed to enter The Plane to Spain as often as they wish but only allowed to win the grand prize of the holiday once during the campaign.
• In the event of a dispute, the adjudicators decision is final.
• The nominated adjudicator may change from show to show but will normally be the The Real Breakfast Show producer and / or The Programme Director.
• The presenter(s) and the radio station may use appropriate discretion in ensuring complete transparency and fairness to all competition entrants.
• The Plane to Spain Sunshine Anthems, is an additional competition running concurrently with The Plane to Spain.
• Following the Plane to Spain weekday breakfast competition a Plane to Spain Sunshine Anthem will be announced.
• Listeners are encouraged to listen out for the song which will be played at some point before 6pm that day.
• When the song is played listeners must text the year the song first entered the charts and their name to 85102 while the song is playing to enter.
• Text messaged will cost 25p plus standard network charge.
• Competitions lines will be closed when the song finishes.
• Approximately 10 minutes later one text will be picked at random and announced on air.
• This text will go into the final to take place at the end of the Plane to Spain competition to win a holiday to Spain which will include flights and accommodation but not spending money and will be for four people and be for one week.
